We arrived in Paris about 4pm local time, after a 9.5 hour direct flight from Oakland. Taking our roles as American tourists seriously, we proceeded to traverse the airport in circles while attempting to secure an Uber driver, before finally hailing a taxi to our apartment.
After our cab ride we were glad we’d chosen not to rent a car in Paris – some of the streets we drove down were so narrow! Once at the apartment, Marc and Katelyn went to a few local shops to procure items for our dinner – we prepared chicken, freshly made cheese and sausage tortellinis with tomato sauce, and a fresh baguette. Bon appetite!
